Unlimited Power Tools (UPT) was established on the 4th of September 2003, at #26 Upper Bournes Road, St. James. With the introduction of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 2004, Mr. Martin Boodoosingh CEO of UPT, recognized the need to introduce manlifts into a vibrant construction industry to replace the current means of building, traditionally done by scaffolding.
With a staff consisting of a manager, a supervisor, a receptionist and three operators, UPT landed their first major job for Carillion Caribbean Limited at Galeota. Realizing the potential UPT had, they started to develop the manlift industry, also introducing scissor lifts and telescopic handlers from the leading manufacturer in the industry, JLG. As the business continued to grow, earth moving equipment became more in demand as the construction industry began to flourish in Trinidad and Tobago.
UPT now has over one hundred (100) pieces of equipment with a lineup of excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, rollers, backhoes, manlifts, scissors lifts, telescopic handlers and recently Grove cranes ranging from 40tons to 165tons. UPT’s success could not have been achieved without its committed and outstanding staff. From top management to the maintenance department, service is the base of our business. With equipment delivered on time, mechanical and account problems solved within 24 hours, machines which are no older than four years old, and providing excellent service at competitive prices is what UPT stands for.
Though UPT is based in St. James our service extends to any border of Trinidad and Tobago. Jobs done in Galeota, Pt. Lisas, Pt. Fortin, Valencia, Curepe, San Fernando, Chaguaramas and Grafton Beach in Tobago are examples of how our service is UNLIMITED. UPT has worked on some of the major projects in Trinidad and Tobago, for example, the Waterfront Project, Customs Building in POS, Off Shore Rigs for TOFCO, BG Beachfield, Nu-Iron, UTT-O’Meara Campus, One Woodbrook Place and Cronstadt Island off Chaguaramas.
UPT’s sister company Rent-A-Amp, the leader in the entertainment industry in the Caribbean, incorporates our cranes, manlifts and telescopic handlers into the entertainment arena. UPT is currently focusing on going beyond national borders and using our equipment in construction projects as well as the Jazz and Carnival festivals in these islands.
UPT has proven to be a power house, continuing to elevate the construction industry and moving into the entertainment business. Backed by dedicated staff, the willingness to serve 24 hours 7 days a week, 365 days a year, well serviced equipment and competitive prices, makes UPT a force to be reckoned with.
